5/7/2024 0 Comments Samsung mdc rs232 command list![]() ![]() I've noticed that many online discussions about Wake-On-Lan (WOL) are quite old, so I'm unsure if the information has changed. It seems there might be a menu setting for this feature, such as "Power On Standby" or something similar. However, since the conflicting information made me nervous, I started to wonder if it's different based on the model. The manuals I've found don't mention WOL packets, but instead suggest using a TCP Client module to connect on port 1515. Is it really that simple? I've heard some TVs require a Wake-On-Lan packet to turn them on, while others don't mention this requirement. The manuals all state that the protocol is the same as normal MDC protocol (set up the SetID like usual). I've come across conflicting information and need to verify what's correct. Currently, I have two buildings with QM series TVs, which are specified for IP control only. With a short timeline, I want to ensure I'm doing things correctly. As someone familiar with controlling Samsung TVs (I've controlled many before), this is my first experience with IP control (usually using RS232 or EXLink).
